1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Local storage is a similar mechanism that persists between visits. Both are used for preferences, security, measurement, and (when enabled) advertising.
2. Categories we use today
- Strictly necessary: Cloudflare security cookies (
__cf_bm,cf_clearance,_cfuvid) required to deliver the site. Cannot be disabled. - Functional: none currently.
- Analytics: not currently enabled. Google Analytics 4 would run only after consent if added.
- Advertising: not currently enabled. Google AdSense would run only after consent if added.
Third-party privacy policies
If advertising is enabled later
You may manage personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or opt out via Your Online Choices (EU) and NAI (US).
3. Managing cookies
- Browser controls: all modern browsers let you view, restrict, or delete cookies. Disabling strictly necessary Cloudflare cookies may prevent the site from loading.
- Consent (when applicable): if analytics or advertising are introduced, a consent banner will appear and choices can be revisited via a footer link.
4. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are processed under legitimate interests for security and service delivery. If analytics or advertising are added, they will rely on your consent under UK PECR, the EU ePrivacy Directive, and UK/EU GDPR.
