Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 2026-05-18.
Brightscale Labs Limited is committed to making MotorMath usable for as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology.
Conformance status
MotorMath aims for WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. Calculators are built as static HTML forms first, with progressive enhancement — page layout, navigation, and content reading work without JavaScript, though performing a calculation requires JavaScript to be enabled.
Technical specifications
- HTML5 semantic landmarks (
header, main, nav, footer, article) - WAI-ARIA where native semantics fall short
- CSS for visual presentation; usable with CSS disabled
- JavaScript only for live calculation (page reading and navigation work without it)
Compatibility
- Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android.
- Browsers: latest two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
- Zoom: usable at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling on a standard 1280-wide viewport.
- Reduced motion: respects
prefers-reduced-motion.
Known issues
- Calculator result regions update live as inputs change; an
aria-liveannouncement may not always be emitted to screen readers. Results are focusable and labelled so they can be navigated to manually.
