Jobi Cheriyan
Founder & Builder, Brightscale Labs Limited
Jobi Cheriyan is the founder of MotorMath and runs the platform out of Brightscale Labs Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. He builds the whole stack — the calculators, the underlying math engine, and the web tooling that keeps every tool fast, private, and reliable across devices.
MotorMath is built on a single principle: every calculator is a pure math function. Tools take only the values you supply, show the exact formula, link to a primary source, and compute the result in your browser — no accounts, no embedded country data, no tracking of your inputs. Jobi’s engineering background spans modern web development (JavaScript, the Astro framework that powers MotorMath), workflow automation in Python, and cloud infrastructure on Cloudflare.
On the editorial side, Jobi sets the standard that every tool must show its working, name its formula, and avoid the advisory or salesy language that calculator sites often slip into. Where a formula has known limitations, the tool page says so. The goal is to help people reason through their own car-cost, performance, and efficiency questions — not to push a product.
MotorMath is operated by Brightscale Labs Limited and is explicitly educational. It is not a regulated automotive or financial services provider; for individual circumstances, consult a qualified mechanic, vehicle professional, or financial adviser.
